Main Article Content
Abstract
Information and communication technology has experienced remarkable growth and development during the past three decades, particularly in the last decade of the 20th century (ICT). The idea of “e-Governance” entails using ICT to encourage more effective and efficient government, improve access to government services, permit greater public access to information, and make government more accountable & transparent to citizens. E-government utilizes a variety of channels to deliver services, including the internet, the phone, and community centres (self- service or facilitated by others), or other clients and the service provider, whether mobile.[1] It illustrates information openness and improved citizen access to government. By using e-governance as a tool, it also enables citizen participation in governmental decision-making and represents their genuine wants and welfare.
