Structural and Lithological Influences on Base Metal Deposits in Adharshila-Dariba Block, Neem Ka Thana Region, Rajasthan

Abstract
The Adharshila-Dariba block in the Neem Ka Thana region of Rajasthan represents a significant metallogenic province within the Mesoproterozoic Delhi Supergroup. This study examines the structural and lithological controls on base metal mineralization, particularly copper-silver deposits, through comprehensive geological mapping and exploration data analysis. The region exhibits stratiform and stratabound mineralization predominantly controlled by sedimentary horizons within the North Delhi Fold Belt. Bornite-dominated assemblages characterize the copper mineralization, with associated silver values reaching economically significant grades. Structural analysis reveals that NE-SW trending folds and fault systems provide primary controls on ore distribution, while specific lithological units within the Delhi Supergroup act as favorable host rocks. The mineralization shows characteristics consistent with both sediment-hosted stratiform copper deposits and Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) systems, suggesting a complex polymetallic environment. This research contributes to understanding the metallogenesis of Proterozoic base metal deposits in the Indian shield and provides insights for future exploration strategies in similar geological terrains.
